- Check and test your smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors

Keep your house humidity level between 38% - 45% especially in the basement for maximum comfort. When the humidity level reaches 55% or more, the risk of mold or mildew increases.
For any extended absence, make sure to turn off the main water source tap to prevent water damage and insurance issues.
